Welcome to Volunteer Central, your resource for everything you need to know to volunteer for our upcoming Tackle the Tar Race!  Thanks for interest in Tackle the Tar and for your willingness to help Send a Kid to College!

GET INVOLVED! - We Need Volunteers

It takes 200+ dedicated volunteers to make this event a success. Thank you for being willing to make a difference through this exciting event.

 

All Tackle the Tar volunteers will receive:

  • Free Tackle the Tar Volunteer T-Shirt (Only guaranteed if you sign up before April 30th)

  • Coupon Code to purchase race tickets for half the price.

 

Volunteer Role Examples:

  • Course marshals (helping direct runners and ensuring safety at obstacles)

  • Registration and check-in support

  • Water station attendants

  • Obstacle assistance (monitor and rest obstacles)

  • Set-up and breakdown crews

 

Choose one of our Volunteer Tracts for race day:

  • Saturday - Early Bird - 7AM - 10:30 AM

  • Saturday - Morning Warriors - 8AM - 11AM

  • Saturday - ALL DAY Warriors - 8AM - 1PM

  • Saturday - Wrap-Up Crew - 10:30AM - 1PM

 

We also need volunteers to help us the day before the race:

  • Friday Night - Event Help - 5PM - 9PM

 

Need volunteer hours? We will sign off to help you reach your goal.
